Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

The Chamoli ILP Portal (https://pass.chamoli.org/) facilitates the application and issuance of Inner Line Permits (ILP) required for travel to restricted areas in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which permit applications can be canceled and whether refunds are applicable.

By applying for a permit through our portal, you acknowledge and agree to the terms stated below.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Once an ILP application is submitted and processed, it cannot be canceled under normal circumstances.
  • Cancellation requests will be considered only in exceptional cases, such as:
    • Errors in application details (e.g., incorrect name, ID details, or travel dates).
    • Duplicate applications (accidental submission of multiple applications for the same person).
    • Government-imposed travel restrictions (e.g., road closures, natural disasters, security concerns).
  • Any cancellation request must be submitted via email or helpline with supporting documentation.
  • The final decision on cancellations will be at the discretion of the Chamoli ILP authorities.

3. Refund Policy

Refunds are only applicable under the following conditions:

  • Application Rejected by Authorities – If your ILP application is denied due to eligibility issues or official restrictions.
  • Duplicate Payment – If a payment is made multiple times for the same application due to a technical error.
  • Technical Failures – If the application could not be processed due to a system error or failure on our end.

Non-Refundable Cases:

  • User-Initiated Cancellations – No refund will be provided if you voluntarily decide not to travel after the permit is approved.
  • Incomplete or Incorrect Applications – If an application is rejected due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the applicant.
  • Failure to Use the Permit – No refund will be issued if the applicant fails to visit within the permit validity period.

4. Refund Process

  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the issue date via email or helpline.
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days via the original payment method.
  • Any transaction fees deducted by the payment gateway are non-refundable.

5. Modification Policy

  • Modifications (such as name correction, date changes) are not permitted once the permit is issued.
  • A new application must be submitted if modifications are required.
